I can't believe its been so many months since Mel's death. I really can't. It seems as if its been centuries, but I remember it as if it were yesterday. All the things we once did I truly miss. I can talk to her, but the conversation is well...one sided. Life is different without her. Sometimes I let loose and cry a little bit because I just wish I could hug her again or talk to her. Say the things I want to say. Listen to her sweet, musical voice.
I miss her, in short. I can't wait to see her again. <3

My "First" Post
Actually, that's not technically correct. See, I had a Blogspot when I was in junior high (yeah, I know, eons ago) but after I got busy I stopped using it and forgot my password...
Anyways, a little about me. I am from a family of eight kids, I love to coach and play soccer, play basketball and also play the piano. Out of all, I couldn't pick a favorite. Coaching soccer is great because you get to "mentor" your kids and teach them something that you were taught at the same age. I also like being called "Coach Ginny" ;). Playing soccer (I have been for eleven years) is something I adore. Being the only girl most of my years, I showed the boys who was boss. I was a defender and I was a goalie (until breaking my arm in a goalie accident in 5th grade). I also liked to watch preppy girls eat my dust (just kidding :D). Basketball was something my oldest brother taught me how to play when I was a young girl. My dad used to pick me up so I could reach the hoop so I could "dunk it". I loved playing it, loved making memory after memory and friendship after friendship. I have been playing piano since I was a seven-year-old little girl who loved watching Mel and Bekah tickle the ivories. Even Ben played a little while. "Mommy, can I play piano too?" she smiled at me and said, "Absolutely!" She has always wanted us to play piano because she never got the chance too. For that, I'll eternally be grateful. Now that my oldest sister has gone on, I have decided piano and music in general must be more of a priority in my life. She was my first piano teacher and she was the best, in my opinion. I only wish I could play for her now. She said she always loved singing and playing piano with me. This year, in the Master's Voice Singers (the choir I have been involved in for the past two years), we will sing and play piano and I will think of her. And for that sake, I'll sing a little louder.
